On October 3, 2026, on German Unity Day, the collaborative sculpture “Cornerstones of Democracy” was unveiled at the Stadtwingert in Wiesloch. Approximately 70 guests were present as the work by artists Christian Friederichs, Simone Carole Levy, Richarda Menger, Piepe Hawran, Frank Tils, and Bettina Zedlitz was presented to the public. The sculpture symbolizes a call to commit to freedom and peace based on the democratic constitutional order. Cohesion, diversity, communication, and the building blocks of the Basic Law are depicted in the sculpture.
